Moticont Releases Latest Linear Voice Coil Servomotor

The HVCM-051-032-013-01 Linear Voice Coil Motor released by Moticont, features a high force-to-size ratio and a 19.1 mm (0.75 in.) stroke.  A low inertia, high acceleration/deceleration, high speed, clean and quiet, non-commutated, hollow core brushless servomotor, the HVCM-051-032-013-01 Linear Voice Coil Motor is ideal for applications such as: Testing, optical focusing, positioning, laser beam steering, laser drilling, cutting and machining, medical diagnostic equipment, scanning, wafer handling, dynamic vibration absorption, sorting, and assembly applications.

A true DC servomotor, it may be used to achieve resolutions of less than 1 micron when used in closed loop servo applications, and has smooth, zero cogging and zero backlash when connected directly to a load. Additionally, this voice coil or moving coil actuator has a high force to size ratio of 28.2 N (6.3 lb.) of continuous force and a peak force of 89.9 N (20 lb.) at a 10 percent duty cycle.

The 12.7 mm (0.50 in.)  open aperture of the HVCM-051-032-013-01 Linear Voice Coil Motor allows for optics, illumination, laser beams, or passage of cables and the extended length of the motor is 54.5 mm (2.15 in) at mid-stroke.

Two threaded mounting holes on 25.4 mm (1.000 in) bolt circles in the 31.8 mm (1.25 in.) long housing and coil ends allow for flexible and easy integration into new and existing applications.

If a longer stroke, higher force, a smaller footprint, servo controller, driver, linear position sensor or customized mounting is required, please consult Moticont's team of engineers.
