March 10–13—PTDA University of Industrial Distribution. J.W. Marriott, Indianapolis, Indiana. This PTDA-sponsored event, in cooperation with both Indiana University and Purdue University, focuses on a continuing education program based on the unique needs of the industrial distribution industry. The four-day program allows attendees to build a curriculum from 30 courses on the key functional disciplines relevant to industrial distribution. Attendees will learn how to improve profitability, develop a pricing strategy, manage operations, create a marketing plan and hire and keep the right salespeople. Attendees should include CEOS, branch managers, sales and marketing managers, purchasing managers, human resource directors and many more.
