Zero Max's ETP Stainless Steel shaft locking bushings are designed to lock gears, pulleys, sprockets and other components to a keyless shaft. These ETP stainless steel models contain FDA-approved food grade medium and are RoHS compliant.According to Zero-Max's press release, the bushings are ideal for use in food, beverage and dairy processing equipment, particularly in systems requiring frequent washdowns. Unlike mechanical bushings that have slots that can trap debris, the ETP is completely sealed. They also handle temperature ranges from –22 to 180 degrees F.
The ETP Express stainless steel models are designed to provide a tight, solid connection between the shaft and mounted components. The device has a double-walled sleeve filled with the FDA-approved food grade actuating pressure medium. When tightened, the single radial screw actuates a piston to compress the medium, thus expanding the bushing walls and creating a solid connection between shaft and hub.
The ETP Express stainless models have higher torque capacities than stainless steel mechanical locking bushings. All ETP Express models can mount components precisely on a shaft without axial movement during the mounting process.ETP Express stainless steel bushings handle torque ranges from 40-1,401 ft.-lbs. and hold concentricity to .0008 " T.I.R. They are designed for use in tight areas and have just one radial adjusting screw for fast mounting, repositioning and phasing of components to shafts. An Allen wrench is the only tool required to mount and lock these bushings into place. Bushings position in seconds and can be readjusted many times just as quickly and without axial movement of the bushing or component along the keyless shaft.
