QBC Introduces BETEX Cone Heater for Bearings

Quality Bearings & Components, a distributor of the world’s leading bearing manufacturers and bearing maintenance equipment introduces the “BETEX Cone Heater”. The BETEX Cone Heater is used to heat bearings and other drive components, developed specifically for the smaller workshop; it is an affordable alternative to larger induction heaters.

“When mounting bearings, gears, and other drive components it is extremely important to use the proper method to ensure ease of assembly, limit damage, and maximize component life cycle. The use of heat and shrink fitting is a safe alternative to open flame heating and oil baths,” says Kathy Lantier, product manager. The BETEX Cone Heater’s lightweight aluminum body ensures fast, even heating and the unique cone shape can accommodate multiple components in diameters of 10 mm to 203 mm simultaneously. The electric heater is offered in two models by Quality Bearings & Components, model CHC with thermostat, will maintain a set temperature, freeing up the user to perform other operations while components are heating.

The BETEX Cone Heater is a cost-effective tool that improves the quality of assembly, is safe to use, and increases machine uptime.
