Oriental Offers AC Motor Technologies

AC Motors have a long history as a motor of choice for many design engineers and machine builders. However over time, newer technologies have gain the interest of these designers and the advantages and cost effective nature of AC Motors are not always thought of in the design phase. Oriental Motor has been a leading supplier of these technologies, including AC Motors, and the advantages of AC Motors remain clear. In addition to constant speed AC Motors and Geared AC Motors, Oriental Motor also provides cost effective AC Motor solutions for speed control, torque control, positioning and linear motion applications. Other than constant speed, lets review the advantages of AC Motors.

Speed control solutions provide unique value and performance advantages. For example, the ES01 and MSC-1 controllers with an AC speed control motor include feedback from the motor. Along with Phase Control, reduced electrical noise is achieved for additional performance over the typical variable frequency drive. Torque control solutions offer a maximum permissible torque of 88 lb-in, and in many cases are able to do the job currently of more expensive solutions. Positioning control has been one of the applications more advanced technologies for over the past decade or so, however AC Motors have a long history in "basic" positioning application. By attaching a linear head gearhead to an AC Motor, basic linear motion can be easily achieved in many stroke lengths at a fraction of the cost of today's linear motion solutions.
