ABB Robotics has launched an Energy Efficiency Service providing manufacturers with a package of consultation, analysis and tools to increase the energy efficiency of their robots. The service offers up to 30 percent energy savings1, addressing the high energy costs that hinder the competitiveness of 58 percent of surveyed global manufacturers, according to a recent Energy Efficiency Movement report.
In today's fast-paced production environments, picking and packing operations demand uninterrupted speed, reliability, accuracy and dexterity—all while maintaining critical food safety. Built with the highest quality standards to ensure unparalleled precision, FANUC cobots and robots deliver reliability and accuracy that minimizes error, reduces product waste and enhances overall quality control.
Explore cutting-edge robotic solutions designed to optimize your packaging operations, enhance efficiency, and boost productivity. From palletizing to picking and packing, Yaskawa (Booth #N-5736) collaborative and industrial robots deliver precision and flexibility for any job.
Festo has launched a clean energy project at its North American Regional Service Center along I-71. Roof-mounted solar panels will supply 48 percent of the facility’s electricity requirements – 2.6 million kilowatt hours (kWh) – after completion of the project, which is slated for next year. One of Ohio’s leading solar power companies, Kokosing Solar Power, Athens, Ohio, is the project’s general contractor.
KUKA Robotics will feature two advanced medical innovations designed to reduce work-related injury for healthcare workers and cut time-to-market for medical device OEMs at HLTH 2024, Oct. 20 – 23, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Visitors to booth 3928 in the Venetian Expo Center will see how KUKA’s LBR iisy cobot solution helps reduce the incidence of arm and shoulder injury to ultrasound technicians and sonographers. A second solution demonstration will feature a KUKA Robot Development Kit using a LBR MED 14 R820 cobot that can slash solution development time by months.
Closed Loop control systems can handle a wide range of motions with a wide range of loads if the control system and mechanics are properly designed for the task. A couple of the more difficult combinations to design for are high inertial mismatches and backlash with hard gearing. The question is not just how to make the system stable, but rather how to also get the desired performance.
ABB Robotics has launched Ultra Accuracy, a new feature for its GoFa cobot family that delivers the highest level of precision available in cobots, enablingover 10 times greater path accuracy vs. other cobots on the market.
Truth be told, there are few components as versatile as the gearmotor. We find them in AGVs, AMRs, and robotics. They can also be found in automation equipment, industrial drive solutions and material handling applications. Four key trends involving gearmotors today include the simplification in design and installation, quiet and energy efficient performance, predictive maintenance and condition monitoring—and lastly—the ability to perform at the highest levels in hazardous and demanding applications.
