Rockwell Automation Dodge Reliance Introduces New Helical/Bevel Speed Reducer
April 6, 2006
The new Dodge motorized Torque-Arm II (MTA) from Rockwell Automation is a high efficiency, case carburized helical/bevel speed reducer. The new AGMA-rated gearing design includes heavy-duty bearings, HNBR oil seals plush Reliance Electric motor and drive options.
The MTA is available as a right-angle shaft mounted integral gearmotor or a right angle shaft mounted C-face speed reducer. Both are available with the Dodge twin tapered bushing system.
According to a company press release, the MTA eliminates the need for guards and reduces the cost of installation. The product is available in two sizes with horsepower ratings from 1-15 HP and output speeds from 5-140 rpm.
Both the C-face and integral motor options use standard Torque-Arm accessories including standard and short shaft twin tapered bearings, a customized backstop design, standard stock rod kit and a standard screw conveyor adapter and drive shafts.
