St. Louis, MO. Explore gear failure analysis in this hands-on seminar where students not only see slides of failed gears but can hold and examine those same field samples close up. Attendees will also use a microscope to examine field samples. This course is taught at Ranken Technical College. A shuttle bus is available each day to transport students to and from the hotel. Class will be 8:00 am – 5:00 pm each day. Failure modes will be identified, root causes of failure, remedies to prevent repeat failures, and analysis techniques will be part of the course. The instructors will be Robert Budny and Andrew Milburn.
