Westin Riverfront Beaver Creek, Vail, Colorado. The Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI) and the Powder Coating Institute (PCI) will host a joint annual meeting for networking, education and association business. CCAI conduct their annual social activities, committee meetings and business meetings to start the week followed by several events held in conjunction with PCI including a welcome reception, joint general sessions and a golf outing. PCI will round out the week with their association committee meetings and PCI business. This concept has been under consideration for the past two years as both the CCAI & PCI boards have been looking for ways that members can reduce the number of meetings they attend each year and also reduce the costs of attending various meetings. While there is some slight deviation from past annual meetings, members will enjoy all the regular annual meeting traditions and events while gaining the opportunity to meeting new industry peers.
“The co-location of CCAI and PCI’s annual meetings allows industrial coatings users, suppliers and custom coaters the opportunity to learn and network with the entire industry in one trip,” notes CCAI President Kevin Coursin. “By co-locating, it brings better efficiency and helps reduce travel expenses and meeting costs which we hope will allow more members to attend. Combined with one of our country’s prettiest spots, we believe this will be one of best annual meetings yet.” Likewise, PCI President John Cole agreed with Coursin,“There are many benefits to this co-location. In addition to the items mentioned above, both organizations retain their own independent and time-coordinated business segments of their meetings, while the organizations will share common general session and social activities. It’s a win-win for both organizations.”
