Johann-Paul Stemplinger Johann-Paul
Stemplinger has been responsible for testing automatic gearboxes at AUDI AG since 2015. Until December 2015, he worked as a research group manager at FZG, Gear Research Centre, Technische Universität München in Germany and was responsible for the group's gearbox efficiency, worm, bevel, and hypoid gears. In 2012, he was responsible for gearbox efficiency as a team leader at FZG. Stemplinger holds a M.Sc. in mechanical engineering of Technische Universität München and finished his doctoral thesis in the field of tribology of gear contacts at FZG in 2013. He has authored over 20 publications including four patents in the field of powertrain and transmission focusing on tribology and lubrication of gears. He received the Oskar Karl Forster and the Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Wittmansches scholarship in 2008.
