Dr.-Ing. Dipl.-Wirt.Ing. Julian Staudt in 2016 completed his doctoral thesis in production engineering — "Function-Oriented Machining of Gears by Free-Form Milling." Since 2012, Staudt was a research assistant at the chair of Manufacturing
Technologies at Laboratory for Machine Tools (WZL) at RWTH Aachen University. While
continuing his studies, Staudt (2007-2012) was a student worker at Laboratory of Machine Tools (WZL), concentrating on surface densification of P/M gears; condition monitoring of gears; and tool wear in bevel and hypoid gear cutting processes. While in the midst of his studies, Staudt served (2004-2005) in the German Air Force. He currently works for Saint-Gobain Sekurit — a supplier to the automotive industry.
