Dr.-Ing. Jan Reissmann is a staff member of IKAT (Institute of Design and Drive Technology) at the Technical University of Chemnitz. He recently completed his doctoral studies and was awarded a Ph.D. for his thesis "Contribution to the Development of Improved Calculation Method for the Tooth Root Strength of Worm Gears." Reissmann's primary field of research is the strength of worm gears.
