Three young and highly motivated women have made it to the finals. On Friday, April 21, 2023, one of them will be honored with the Young Engineering Award 2023 during the WomenPower Career Congress. The initiative is intended to boost motivation for women to take up a career in the STEM sector.

Industry 4.0 is an umbrella brand grouping together sensor manufacturers, automation companies, robotics builders, software producers and users. At this year’s Hannover Messe, NKE Austria GmbH will present bearings for wind turbine gearboxes and generators. The Austrian bearing manufacturer has more than 20 years of experience in the wind energy sector. NKE bearings have been installed in more than 4,000 wind turbines across Europe, the USA and China, equivalent to more than 10,000 MW of installed power. 

Sumitomo Drive Technologies, together with Invertek Drives and Lafert Group, will be presenting its complete drive solutions for automation and Industry 4.0 at Hannover Messe 2023. From April 17 to 21, visitors to Hall 6, Booth B25 will learn how they can use energy-efficient drive solutions to meet their sustainability goals while also boosting their competitiveness.

This year, the opening speech at the WomenPower Career Congress will be delivered by Dr. Ariane Reinhart, a member of the executive board at Continental AG – a company at which 25 percent of all management positions are slated to be filled by women by the year 2025. On this five-member executive board, two out of five positions are already held by women – a top figure among companies listed on the German DAX stock exchange.

Some 4,000 companies from the general engineering, electrical, digital and energy industries will showcase solutions for the production and energy supply of the future at Hannover Messe. Dr. Robert Habeck, Germany's Federal Minister for Economics and Climate Action, is set to visit Hannover on the second day of the flagship event for dialog with representatives of industry on taking the path to climate-friendly production.
