With the OPEXplus digital torque wrench, Bosch Rexroth has added an economical new product to its existing range of tightening solutions. The OPEXplus digital torque wrench can measure both the torque and the angle of rotation. It covers a range of torques from 3 to 800 Nm, and it transfers the tightening results to any IT system without the need for additional control. The OPEXplus digital torque wrench sets a new standard for accuracy and allows fatigue-free work thanks to its ergonomic design.
Between now and 2030, a state-of-the-art digital train control system from Siemens Mobility will be installed as an upgrade to the conventional train control system used by operator Hamburger Hochbahn (HOCHBAHN) on its U2 and U4 subway lines. The new technology, known as CBTC (communication-based train control), will allow trains to run at shorter intervals of only 100 seconds, which will put significantly more trains on the track in the future, thereby increasing capacity. In addition, CBTC also improves punctuality, reliability, and energy consumption.
Stratasys Ltd. recently announced availability of 13 new Validated materials for the Fortus 450mc 3D printer, as well as SAF PA12 powder from new materials partner ALM for the H350 3D printer powered by SAF technology. The OpenAM software, including an open material license, is also now available for the Fortus 450mc printer, enabling printing with exploratory open materials.
Force Control dynamometers featuring Positorq oil shear load brakes absorb extreme torque at very low speed, down to zero rpm. This allows them to accurately capture data at these critical junctures, when dynos equipped with traditional load brakes cannot.
Applied Motion Products New PH Series Mini Planetary Gearmotors are used with small step motors in NEMA 8, 11, and 14 frame sizes. The small design of the gearheads allows them to be paired with small motors and doesn't adversely affect the outside dimensions of the combined gearmotor.
Many applications in the bulk goods and material handling industry include abrasive environments with large temperature fluctuations and rough operating conditions. To meet these formidable challenges, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS has engineered solutions that are robust, reliable, and easy to service. Their modular product system includes heavy-duty industrial gear units, high-efficiency electric motors with hazard protection features, and variable frequency drives with flexible functionality.
Bonfiglioli is convinced that around 50 percent of all new self-propelled construction machines will be either electrically or hybrid driven by 2030. So, it is high time for the globally active group based in Bologna, Italy, to take on the electric pioneering role in the machine groups that have previously been dominated by hydraulics. At Bauma 2022, the company presented the current options for electric drive technology for construction machinery.
JW Winco continues to expand its selection of standard parts of AISI 316L (A4) stainless steel – now including threaded plugs, magnetic plugs, and robust oil sight glasses for hydraulics in an entirely new design.
As shippers and logistics handlers continue to struggle with supply chain delays, Mitsubishi Gas Chemical America recently introduced the RP System to the North American market to protect critical components from moisture and oxygen damage that can occur during shipping and long-term storage. Manufactured in Japan, this unique packaging solution is designed to safeguard electronics, automotive parts, and industrial components from rust and oxidation.
