Bosch Rexroth’s electromechanical cylinders (EMCs) are now available in a high-force, high-precision, low-maintenance version - the EMC-HP. Designed for heavy loads up to 100 kN, the new actuators are robust, compact and low-maintenance. Based on the reliable planetary screw drive, users will benefit from impressive continuous power even under harsh conditions. This is thanks to both the new oil-bath lubrication and the optional water cooling directly on the screw itself. As with the other members of the EMC family, a fully digital process, from selection through to ordering, shortens the engineering time.
The Figaro series is a motion control system introduced to complement Optimal Engineering Systems’ growing line of single and multi-axis positioning stages. The Figaro series is an easy-to-use, plug-and-play, cost effective solution motion controller.
The new electromagnetic linear brake ROBA-linearstop from Mayr Power Transmission offers a fail-safe system with high holding forces, which can also brake dynamically and provide short switching times.
IKO introduces its LWLF2 linear motion rolling guide, which addresses the demand for device miniaturization with a compact, lightweight design that makes mounting easy in tight spaces.
Dunkermotoren’s product portfolio includes brushless and brushed DC motors up to 5 kW, AC motors and linear systems. Dunkermotoren incorporates a modular system to combine their motors with planetary and right-angle gearboxes, encoders, brakes and integrated or external electronics into a single package. This allows for configurable solution for your application.
Rollon has unveiled a new digital tool to help engineers design equipment and systems more efficiently. The new ecosystem consists of two core elements: a redesigned corporate website and myRollon — a tool that personalizes product selection.
When designing for linear motion systems, the initial decision between round and square rail can significantly impact cost, performance and durability. Square rail, which is typically the more expensive option, has a higher load capacity and tighter accuracy. Round rail offers distinct cost and reliability advantages for certain applications, but maximizing those advantages depends on specifying the right bearing to minimize friction in each application. Designers must often choose between plain bearings, often called bushings, and ball bearings. And within each type, they will have more options that impact price, performance, maintainability and durability. Understanding these options early in the design cycle will optimize the performance and cost of the linear motion application.
PBC Linear has expanded the Redi-Rail line of linear guidance components. This means that all metric Redi-Rail sizes now have a 4-wheel and 5-wheel carriage option.
