The International Fluid Power Exposition (IFPE), along with the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), have released another research whitepaper leading up to the return of the show to the Las Vegas Convention Center, March 14-18, 2023, along with the co-located CONEXPO-CON/AGG.

Twin Disc, Inc. has announced the lease of an office space in Milwaukee, WI. The 8,100 square foot space on the fourth floor of an office building located on Erie Street in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward will accommodate approximately 25 employees. The Company expects to relocate its corporate team to the new location in early 2023.

The Timken Company has reached an agreement to acquire GGB Bearing Technology (GGB), a division of Enpro, Industries (including exclusive negotiations with respect to the French operations of GGB). Founded in 1899, GGB serves a variety of diverse customers, markets, geographies and applications with a product portfolio that complements existing Timken industry-leading engineered bearing solutions. GGB revenue is expected to be around $200 million in fiscal year 2022. 

Steyr, a regional agricultural brand of CNH Industrial, has been awarded the 2022 Red Dot Design Award in the Design Concept category for its Hybrid Drivetrain Konzept – a hybrid diesel-electric drive system conceived to power lightweight, high-horsepower tractors.

SKF has developed a new hybrid deep groove ball bearing for high-speed applications. The new bearing is aimed at applications such as rail industry traction motors, as well as electric machines and drives. SKF already has three pilot customers, all of them OEMs.

Curtiss-Wright’s Industrial Division recently confirmed its continued commitment to its long-term strategy of advancing the electrification market with the extension of its traction inverter product portfolio. These latest CWTIs offer the most highly efficient and innovative design for use in hybrid and pure-electric applications for on-highway and off-highway commercial vehicles.

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) recently opened the second round of its Clean Off-Road Equipment Voucher Incentive Project (CORE), providing point-of-sale discounts on off-road zero-emission equipment. The project is administered by CALSTART and has $125M in funding available, more than double the amount allocated to the project when it first launched in January 2020. Originally only for freight, in 2022, CORE is expanding to include funding for the commercial harbor craft and agriculture and construction sectors. 

After receiving all the official approvals, Voith successfully completed the acquisition of the majority shares of Argo-Hytos Group on August 2, 2022. Argo-Hytos, based in Switzerland, develops and produces components for hydraulics and system solutions with a focus on the off-highway sector (agricultural tractors, construction equipment and material handling vehicles).
