Festo and Q.ANT, a wholly owned subsidiary of TRUMPF, are entering into a strategic partnership to cultivate biomass on an industrial scale. The two companies aim to achieve this using a combination of automation technology from Festo and quantum technology from Q.ANT. Algae offers significant potential in this context.

NSK Ltd. has developed a new technology that significantly extends ball screw life in high-load drive applications. Products with this technology are expected to be adopted by industrial machinery makers shifting to electric designs. The Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) from Applied Cobotics assists collaborative robots and other types of automation robots by consistently loading and unloading material dunnage trays within the cobot/robot-accessible work area. Fenner Precision Polymers announced the move of its corporate offices. The new location, is in Manheim Township, will be at 187 West Airport Road in Lititz, Pa. Approximately 100 of Fenner’s office staff are expected to move into the new offices beginning fall of 2022. Ongoing construction updates will be underway in the space through October. The company anticipates that the remaining corporate staff will have relocated to the new facility by end of 2022.

E-commerce consumers expect goods to be delivered faster and more flexibly than was the case just a couple of years ago. Helukabel recently announced two acquisitions to further grow its core competency in the field of industrial automation. The two latest companies to join the Helukabel Group are ekd gelenkrohr GmbH, a drag chain manufacturer, and Sangel Systemtechnik, an industrial cable assembly manufacturer.

SRSI (Slate River Systems, Inc.) and Dematic signed an integrator relationship agreement. SRSI will now be a certified integrator of all Dematic equipment. SRSI is known for its strong customer relationships and quality of work, and with the experience of industry experts at Dematic, looks to further grow its offerings.

Seco/Warwick delivered a roller-type unit (furnace) intended for spheroidizing rings for the bearing industry. The solution will be operated in the Kielce plant of the global bearing manufacturer – NSK.
