Schaeffler Experts to Discuss Electrification Challenges at Digital CTI Symposium USA

Key Schaeffler mobility experts will again participate in the annual CTI Symposium USA, discussing the opportunities and challenges of e-mobility. This year’s event, held Sept. 8 and 9, will focus on the Path to NET-Zero Emissions by 2050. During the digital event, global industry experts will share latest insights in strategies and technologies that will help drive the future of mobility.
On Sept. 8 at 8:40 a.m. ET, Schaeffler’s Patrick Lindemann, president, transmission systems, e-mobility and chassis, will moderate the “Battle between BEV and Hybrid” panel. Joining him for the discussion will be:
•Carla Bailo, president & CEO, Center for Automotive Research (CAR), USA;
•Greg Gardner, director, underbody systems, Ford Motor Co.;
•Byungho Lee Ph.D., director, propulsion system development, Hyundai-Kia America Technical Center, Inc.;
•Steve Rober, head of automotive research and advanced engineering, Stellantis, USA; and
•Ruiping Wang, vice president, Zhejiang Geely Auto Group, China.
On Sept. 9 at 10:40 a.m., Schaeffler’s Jeffrey Hemphill, Americas CTO, will present “Challenges and Progress in Electrification, Batteries, and Hydrogen.” In his presentation, Hemphill will review the tremendous technical progress to date, discuss the challenges and advancements in batteries and electrification, as well as examine the issues and evolution of hydrogen applications.
