BisonCares hosted its thirteenth Annual Charitable Golf Outing in St. Charles, IL on Monday, September 17. More than $20,000 was raised to support several local and national charities including the Anderson Animal Shelter, Ronald McDonald House, Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation, and Lazarus House.
“The 2018 BisonCares Charitable Golf Outing at the Hawk Country Club was a huge success this year! After a couple years of cool weather, this year was perfect. The golf course was in spectacular condition and we’re already looking forward to next year’s event. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped put it together. We couldn’t have done it without you,” said Andrew Burnette, director of BisonCares.
Tournament participants enjoyed a variety of competitions in addition to 18 holes of scramble golf tournament play. Activities included a “Roll the Dice” competition where participants rolled 8 lawn dice to compete for the highest total, men’s and women’s longest drive and closest to pin competitions. A Mercedes Benz was up for grabs in the hole in one competition, and participants had the opportunity to replace their tee shot with 300+ yard blast from the Golf Ball Cannon.
“It was such an honor to be able to host members of the Fox Valley community, Power Transmission Industry members, and supporters of BisonCares in our annual Golf Tournament” said John Burch, CEO of Bison Gear & Engineering. “We are so lucky to be able to play such an outstanding golf course in the area and work with the incredible staff of the Hawk Country Club”
A huge thank you goes out to the sponsors who helped make the Charitable Golf Outing an exciting and successful fundraising event.
