Belden Universal, a manufacturer of highly specialized universal joints and drive shafts, has announced the appointment of Nick Sainati as its new general manager. The appointment is effective as of August 20, 2018. In his new role, Sainati will assume responsibility for the strategic direction and execution of Belden Universal’s business operations.
“We are extremely pleased that Nick has agreed to join our management,” says Perry Sainati, president. “His appointment makes Belden a third-generation family enterprise. Our business is the strongest it’s ever been. Nick’s wealth of business knowledge will be instrumental in leading the company into the future.”
“I am honored and excited to become a part of my father and grandfather’s company, and strongly believe in its continued growth potential,” says Nick Sainati. “I look forward to utilizing my acquired skills and experience to support the team, identify new opportunities and help grow our portfolio.”
Nick Sainati joints Belden Universal from his brand management role at Starbucks’ Corporate Headquarters, where he aided the successful launch of its Evenings and Mercato programs by helping solve complex strategy and supply chain issues. Sainati began his career as an investment banking analyst and corporate finance professional, advising companies on mergers, acquisitions, capital raising, and financial reporting. He sharpened his entrepreneurial skills by establishing a wine distribution company. Sainati earned his MBA degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
