AGMA President Matt Croson was elected to the National Association of Manufacturer’s (NAM) Council of Manufacturing Associations (CMA) board of directors for a second three-year term. Croson served on the NAM CMA board from 2015-2017, and will continue through 2020.
The NAM CMA provides input and direction to the NAM regarding both legislation and policy impacting the manufacturing community. The NAM CMA is comprised of more than 270 manufacturing oriented associations, representing more than 300,000 manufacturing jobs. The CMA also supports association management excellence through benchmarking, peer-to-peer dialogue and networking opportunities with senior officials throughout both the executive and legislative branches of government.
“Being a part of the NAM CMA leadership helps ensure AGMA is on top of issues impacting the manufacturing community,” noted Croson. “From the Rule 232, covering steel trade, to infrastructure bills and the tax deal, AGMA was able to provide guidance and support to the efforts that NAM put into place — which are 100% focused on helping manufacturers succeed. I look forward to continuing to serve on the NAM CMA board, and to bringing information that can help AGMA members to meetings and events in 2018 and beyond.”
