Pittman, a business unit of Ametek Precision Motion Control, has announced the latest addition to its line of brush-commutated DC motors: the DC022C Series, a 22 mm diameter unit offered in three lengths with continuous output torques of 0.0056 to 0.141 Nm.
The DC022C Series is offered with eight standard windings with special windings available. It features speeds up to 10,000 rpm and DC bus voltages up to 36 vdc. The brush DC motor has a 2-pole stator with neodymium magnets, 5-slot skewed rotor and sintered bronze bearings. Ball bearings, copper graphite brushes and RFI suppression also are available.
Various options, such as an encoder and gearboxes with reduction ratios from 4:1 to 429:1, are offered to optimize the performance of DC022C brush DC motor for highly specialized or unique applications. Among them are Pittman’s newest E21 compact encoder and economical PLG24 planetary gearbox.
The Pittman brush DC motors are highly customizable, making them well suited for a variety of high-tech motion applications, including lab automation, medical devices, communications equipment, semiconductor processing equipment, aerospace systems, and many other applications where precision motion is critical.
