Impact Energy, an international operating center of competence for energy efficiency, recently announced that National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) Industry Director Bill Hoyt will co-chair the 2016 International Motor Summit for Energy Efficiency, to be held on October 11 and 12 in Zurich, Switzerland.
“We are honored to have Bill Hoyt among the Motor Summit leadership,” said Rita Werle, managing director and co-owner of Impact Energy and chair of the 2016 Motor Summit. “I’m looking forward to having him join me in heading this event for experts working to improve energy savings for electric motor systems.”
Electric motors and motor systems in industrial and infrastructure applications—together with pumps, fans and compressors in buildings—are responsible for 45 percent of the world’s total electricity consumption. Summit attendees will explore new and existing technologies with the potential to reduce that energy demand by 20 to 30 percent if market barriers can be overcome.
“We are committed to providing high-quality, energy-efficient, and safe motor products to the public,” said Hoyt. “The summit is a wonderful opportunity to collaborate and exchange ideas with industry specialists.”
