Gearing Solutions announces the expansion of its GHP-series single, double and triple stage NEMA Gearheads. The expanded sizes of the GHP units and the new GHC units use a 2-piece design with up to a 30 HP capacity. Mounting arrangements now include up to a NEMA 256 and specials can be produced to IEC specs.
Standard ratios range from 3:1 to 50:1 and they feature compact, lightweight aluminum housings. Output faces and shafts duplicate standard NEMA dimensions. The female input shafts also match standard NEMA motors but Gearing Solutions Shaft Adapters (SDPs) can accommodate nearly any standard motor. These shaft adapters will accommodate smaller motor shaft in both NEMA and IEC standard sizes, and are especially useful for field modifications.
GHP and GHC gearheads are shock load resistant, cost-effective, and easily mounted. They are ideal for a wide range of applications from industrial mixers to green energy, and include conveyors, cranes, hoists, positioners, and other material handling equipment. GHP planetary gearheads are up to 40 percent shorter than conventional models. Lightweight aluminum housings reduce weight by up to 50 percent, creating a premium weight-to-torque ratio (power density).
