May 10, 2016
Peer Bearing Company recently announced the optimization of tapered roller bearing (TRB) design and manufacturing capabilities to meet the needs of industrial gearbox OEM’s that produce worm, parallel, and bevel gearboxes.
“The investment in both design optimization and manufacturing will position Peer TRB products to achieve longer service life in operation, improve gearbox operating efficiency, and reduce assembly time and cost,” said Steve Tomlinson, transmission business development manager for Peer Bearing. “The advancements further strengthen Peer as a partner supplier of robust and cost-effective TRB and deep groove ball bearing (DGBB) solutions for industrial gearbox OEM’s,” he added.
Peer TRB and DGBB inch and metric solutions comply with international bearing standards and are easily interchangeable for use in existing gearbox designs. Major gearbox OEM’s rely on Peer’s range of DGBB and TRB solutions to achieve performance expectations and keep their gearboxes running. Peer will continue to service the industry with knowledgeable industry focused, application engineers that collaborate with customers to select the best bearing solution to meet the application needs in the most cost-effective way.
