Guy Fichera, director of Boston Engineering’s Industrial & Commercial practice, will deliver a "Design Tools for Motion Control" presentation at Automate 2015.
Processor technology advances are enabling product developers to use model-based design to create complex motor control applications using a process that minimizes risk, enables a robust design and accelerates time to market. The presentation outlines where the control algorithm can be developed, simulated and optimized with standard model-based design tools such as MATLAB and Simulink. This process includes targeting the algorithm directly to an embedded hardware platform for testing without the need to re-implement the control in a low-level programming language.
The presentation will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24.
