Bison Promotes Manufacturing in Library Exhibit
October 1, 2013
Bison Gear and Engineering will be exhibiting at Gail Borden Public Library along with five other leading local area manufacturers to promote the library's new Manufacture Your Future exhibit from September 30th - October 6th. The purpose of the event is to reach out to local area parents and students in order to better educate them about the wonderful careers available in the manufacturing industry. The event includes information booths for all participating companies, an informative forum conducted by company personnel on October 2nd, and tours of several local area manufacturing facilities, including Bison.
Bison staff will be available throughout the forum event on Wednesday October 2nd to answer any questions parents and students may have regarding furthering their education for a long-lasting manufacturing career. Popcorn will be popping at the Bison booth throughout the forum utilizing a popcorn machine that runs on Bison gear motors. Students from district 303 will attend a tour of Bison Gear and Engineering and get a hands on feel for manufacturing. There will be a panel presentation touching on education/career planning and employability skills for the students in the morning at Gail Borden and in the evening for Parents. Panel members speaking on manufacturing are Eric Smith, Hoffer Plastic Corp, and Sylvia Wetzel, Bison Gear and Engineering. The exhibit will open each day at 9 AM, and stocked with information for parents and students.
