Nexen Group, Inc. announces it will be showcasing diverse motion control products at Hannover Messe 2013, April 8-12 in Hannover, Germany. Combining 11 international trade shows into one comprehensive event, Hannover Messe highlights core technologies and services that enhance industrial production, innovation and efficiency. As part of Motion, Drives & Automation, Nexen will be providing attendees with demonstrations of its Roller Pinion System (RPS), Precision Ring Drive (PRD) and the newest addition to the company’s motion control family, the Harmonic Gearhead.
Nexen’s RPS features a unique roller pinion/toothed rack combination that delivers high-accuracy positioning with zero backlash to virtually eliminate cumulative error. Offered in five distinct models, the RPS is specifically designed to meet demanding industrial applications, with each offering 99 percent operation efficiency, low friction and minimal maintenance requirements. The PRD utilizes Nexen’s roller pinion technology for smooth, precise motion in indexing and rotary positioning applications. Reaching speeds of 300 rpm and lasting for up to 60,000,000 revolutions, the PRD combines power, rigidity and durability to satisfy current industry demands for higher performance capacity at lower energy costs.
Along with its linear and rotary drive systems, Nexen will also be exhibiting its brand new Harmonic Gearhead. Using the latest harmonic, strain wave gearing technology, Nexen delivers a rigid, high-torque, true zero backlash gearhead solution. Designed to replace planetary gearheads, this patent-pending, gearing-forward design overlaps components and allows the gearing to be integrated into less than half the space needed for alternative technologies. Nexen will be located at Booth D18 in Hall 16, where visitors can view live product demonstrations and speak with engineers to learn more about how Nexen motion control technology can significantly improve application precision, reliability and efficiency.
