The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) recently honored Wichita Clutch with the Texas Manufacturing Star Award at the Texas Business Conference in Wichita Falls, Texas. TWC Commissioner Representing Employers, Tom Pauken presented the award to Wichita Clutch, a global leader in the design and manufacture of heavy-duty industrial pneumatic and hydraulically-actuated clutches and brakes.
The award acknowledges outstanding private-sector employers who contribute to the growing manufacturing base in Texas. "Wichita Clutch is always looking for better, more cost-effective ways to get their products produced," said Pauken. "They are a vital participant in the overall health of the Wichita Falls community and its economic development." Businesses are selected for the award based on the economic impact they have on their communities, partnerships they develop with economic development organizations or training providers as well as their workforce training and development.
"We are very proud to receive this prestigious award," said Mark Stuebe, vice president and general manager of Altra Industrial Motion's Heavy-Duty Clutch Brake Group. "Our focus is on maximizing our resources and capital while contributing to the economic vitality of Wichita Falls."
