NEMA's Electroindustry Business Confidence Index (EBCI) for current North American conditions slipped to 52.4 in June from 54.2 in May and has retreated more than 20 points since reaching a post-recession high in February. The EBCI for future North American conditions also moved lower in June, falling nearly 14 points to 57.1. One-third of panelists - down from just over half the previous month - said they expect conditions to improve to at least some degree over the next six months.
