DE-STA-CO, a robotic tooling, workholding, and flexible industrial automation solutions company, is pleased to announce that John Podczerwinski has been appointed to the position of president, effective July 11, 2011. "John has a strong track record of success. Within his position at Vehicle Services Group (VSG), he was instrumental in delivering dramatic increases in market share. After thoughtful consideration, we are confident he is the best fit for this position and look forward to his leadership," said Thomas Giacomini, president and CEO of Dover Industrial Products, a segment within Dover Corporation.
For more than three years, Podczerwinski has led VSG, North and South Americas, a Dover Company, as vice president and general manager. In 2010, Podczerwinski helped the company attain record sales and earnings, despite the challenging economic state. In addition, he served as project manager for the acquisition and integration of Hanmecson (now VSG Asia), Dover's first acquisition of a Chinese company. This positioned VSG for growth not only in Asia but also worldwide.
Before joining VSG, he held positions as general manager, chief financial officer and vice president of human resources for Schnadig Corporation, a Chicago-based furniture manufacturer. The Certified Public Accountant holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Dayton and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago. Podczerwinski stated, "I am thrilled to take on this new challenge and to become part of another strong Dover company team. My focus will remain on strengthening DE-STA-CO's global presence and implementing targeted growth strategies that deliver strong bottom line results."
