Bishop-Wisecarver Corporation, manufacturer of the original DualVee guide wheel and industry leader in guided motion technology, announced today that it has launched a second video contest in search of the oldest running application using DualVee guide wheels and track as part of the company's 60th year anniversary celebrations.
"Our company was founded on imagination and ingenuity so last year we celebrated by searching for the most creative application using DualVee," said Pamela Kan, president of Bishop-Wisecarver. "As we wind down from our festivities this year, we want to acknowledge our long history with one of DualVee's most signature features; long life."
Co-founder Bud Wisecarver created DualVee Motion Technology in the late 1960s in an effort to provide a reliable, hardy linear motion solution for an application challenge that was subjected to harsh environments. The solution grew into a product offering, and now, Bishop-Wisecarver offers a wide range of linear and rotary motion technologies including components, guides and actuated linear systems to suit virtually any environment.
"We continue to solve our customer's toughest challenges," added Kan. "Our celebration of the company's history includes our customers and their innovations. We look forward to their video entries."
Videos are to be submitted to Bishop-Wisecarver via e-mail by 1 p.m. EST on June 17, 2011. A panel of judges will review each entry, and on June 30th, the winning video will be announced and the winner will be awarded a four day, three night vacation for two to Northern California worth up to $2,000.00, plus airfare. The winner will have a choice to visit San Francisco Bay, Napa Valley, Monterey or Lake Tahoe.
