The Hydraulic Institute (HI) announced registration is open for the 2010 Market Outlook Workshop. Registration can be completed via the HI website at www.pumps.org/MarketOutlook.
The annual event, organized by the Valve Manufacturers Association, takes place in San Francisco, August 12-13 and provides attendees with current and specific market insights on both the valve and pump industries. Prior to the event, on August 11, HI will host the HI Market Intelligence Committee meeting and reception dinner for pump industry analysts associated with HI member companies.
The two-day workshop will be held at the Marriott Union Square Hotel and features presentations from industry and economic leaders on trends in a number of diverse marketplaces and economies.
Presenters will focus on specific market sectors including water/wastewater, pulp and paper, power, nuclear, oil and gas, mining and hydrocarbon processing.
Workshop highlights include a Wall Street Perspective, presented by Michael Halloran, vice president, Robert W. Baird and Company; an International Economic Outlook, presented by Gary Schlossberg, senior economist, Wells Fargo; and a market feature on Brazil, presented by Jerry Owen, president, Intrix Americas. As in past years, Alan Beaulieu, an economist of the Institute for Trend Research, will discuss Domestic Economic Outlook.
