PIM3605 extends Technosoft's plug-in mini-drive series by increasing the power capabilities offered by PIM2401 (25 W) and PIM2403 (75 W).
The hardware structure of PIM3605 is based on a cost-optimized design that integrates all the basic motor control functions on a single module. A series of I/O signals, both digital and analog, are available for interfacing with the application. Incremental encoders, digital and linear Halls are incorporated by default. The drive is fully programmable with the EasyMotion Studio software and Technosoft Motion Language (TML). A complete set of high-level TML instructions allows users to define and start complex motion sequences from a CAN master via PC/PLC (using the appropriate motion library), or to execute pre-stored motion sequences selected from I/O lines, in a stand-alone mode.
A key advantage of PIM3605 is its ability to run complex motions without requiring any external controller. The movement sequences can be programmed directly on the drive while system control functions are handled from the supervising PC or PLC. Motion modes, such as contouring, profiling, gearing, electronic camming or PVT, are easily executed in stand-alone or multi-axis configurations.
PC/PLC motion libraries are available for the drive's quick industrial integration. The PIM3605 starter kits help users evaluate the drive and develop specific projects. PIM3605 supports CiA standards DS-301 and DSP402 CANopen. An IBL3605 minidrive (PIM3605's panel-mount version) is also available.
The PIM3605 drive's embedded intelligence, plug-in design, higher power, and miniature size make it a valuable motion control solution for all industrial applications that need high-precision control and limited space integration.
