The new Fenner High-Torque (FHT) class of synchronous belts is made of polyurethane—instead of traditional materials like rubber—to provide advantages such as cleaner tooth profile, different grades for higher coefficient of friction and temperatures and tensile strength exceeding 1,000 pounds. The FHT class is made in several sizes and pitches, and Fenner Precision staff can customize them for specific design situations. Using a curvilinear profile instead of trapezoidal, the belts reduce noise, dusting, backlash and vibration while improving positioning, wear, accuracy and meshing with the pulley.
