The Falk Quadrive 5000 series from Rexnord Industries, LLC eliminates foundations and alignment for grain handling, cement and aggregate, and all types of bulk material handling users. According to the company’s press release, the 5000 series also provides increased ratings, allowing for smaller drive selection. Standard on the shaft-mounted drive is carburized and ground gearing, high-temperature Viton seals, taper roller bearings and ductile iron.
The Falk Quadrive features the Falk TA taper bushing, a torque assist design that makes the shaft-mounted drive easy to install and remove. “The TA taper bushing ensures that drive removal is not only simple, but won’t damage the drive or driven equipment,” says Adam Ames, Falk Quadrive shaft-mounted drive product manager. “It eliminates binding found with twin-taper and single-flanged bushings. In addition, drive removal is guaranteed or replacement is free.”
There are 11 sizes to choose from, with 25 to 160 mm bushing bores available with power ratings up to 224 kw (300 HP), 40,675 NM (360,000 lb-in) output. The Quadrive shaft-mounted drive is backed with a three-year warranty.
Rexnord power transmission products include gears, couplings, industrial bearings, aerospace bearings and seals, industrial chain and special components under the Rexnord, Falk, Link-Belt, MB, Stearns and Marbett brand names.
