May 31, 2007
PCB Piezotronics, the official sensor & instrumentation sponsor of Andretti Green Racing (AGR) during the 2007 racing season, has announced that it will team with AGR to present a special exhibit floor feature at the upcoming Sensors Expo & Conference, June 11-13 in Rosemont, IL.
According to a press release, PCB will display a replica of the AGR #7 Motorola IndyCar on the Sensors Expo show floor. PCB is supplying AGR with sensors and instrumentation, including DC response accelerometers, torque sensors and load cells, for its four IndyCar Series entries. Andretti Green Racing, which won the 2004 and 2005 IndyCar Series championships and 2005 Indianapolis 500, has won 28 Indy Racing League events in five seasons, including 24 in the IndyCar Series and four in the Indy Pro Series. In addition to its new ALMS effort in 2007, the team fields four full-time entries in the IndyCar Series, a fifth-entry in the Indianapolis 500 and a single-car team in the Indy Pro Series.
“With PCB's commitment to 24-hour customer service and experienced team of applications engineers, Andretti Green is confident that this partnership will provide us with the best possible technical expertise and products to compete for more race wins and championships in 2007," said Kim Green, Andretti Green's chief executive officer.
