Calculating the strength of a transmission requires handle various load levels in a load spectrum. The load spectrum includes all system boundaries, namely all power inputs and power outputs. Additionally, a transmission includes synchronizers, clutches, and brakes to manage different operating modes.
The KISSsoft System Module allows you to predefine any possible combination of shifting positions and boundary condition setups by combining them into operating modes. These operating modes specify which synchronizers, clutches, or brakes are activated and which load data should be applied at specific system boundaries. With this, a reversal of the power flow, i.e. a change from driving to coasting condition, is represented.
The kinematic viability of each operating mode is automatically and instantly verified during setup, ensuring no kinematic errors will occur later.
In the load spectrum, each load bin is assigned one of these operating modes. This also provides a clear visual indication of the required load data input for each load bin.
After running a load spectrum calculation, the system module provides detailed reports with results on bearings, gears, shafts, and the kinematics of the system.
